Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian)

Description

The Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center integrates exhibition, conference, business, catering, entertainment and other functions. It was invested and built by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and operated by Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center Management Co., Ltd. It was officially put into use in 2004. Since its opening in 2004, it has successfully held nearly 300 exhibitions, over 1350 conferences, and received more than 20 million visitors. In 2008, a total of 75 exhibitions and over 500 conferences were held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, with an annual exhibition area of 1.8 million square meters, ranking third among peers in the country.
The Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the central area of the city, covering an area of 220000 square meters with a total construction area of 280000 square meters. It is 540 meters long from east to west and 282 meters wide from north to south. The highest point above ground is 60 meters, with 6 underground floors and 2 underground floors. The steel structure, glass dome, and curtain wall are perfectly combined. At night, under the embellishment of lights, it is exquisite and transparent, and is known as the “Crystal Palace”.
The exhibition, conference, and service functions are arranged in a hierarchical manner, which is both relatively independent and closely coordinated. The nine exhibition halls on the first floor are laid in a “U” shape, with an indoor exhibition area of 105000 square meters, which can accommodate 5000 international standard booths for large-scale exhibitions. The conference center is suspended above the exhibition hall and has a total of 35 conference rooms with excellent functions, varying in size, and can also be used as a mid to high end dining venue. The main channel of the second floor service area is 480 meters long, running from east to west and connecting up and down, providing various exhibition supporting services in a centralized manner.
